This is the first time I’ve ever read anything by this author and I have to say, if all of her books cost £4.50, I won’t be reading any more! It’s hella expensive for a story that was lacking and I won’t read again. This confused me because Mateo is too young for Vera’s friends! Turns out, it was supposed to say ‘brother’s best friend’. I think a little tidying up wouldn’t go a miss here - I just remember reading something about a best friend hooking up with their ‘best friend’s brother’. So, there was some mafia stuff towards the end, but I want to know, where were Vera’s bestest friends throughout all of this? There’s no word that they even knew what has happened! Just seems odd, considering they were active characters throughout. I’ve never seen that many ellipsis in one book before. There was sooo much … going on, it was getting ridiculous. But why? What did that have to do with Vera and Blaise’s story? I don’t know. I thought some of the scenes were quite random and I didn’t really see how they fit in with story - some drama with posters being pinned up everywhere. By about half way through, the entire storyline changed and we weren’t reading about the nerdy writer girl anymore. It did seem like there was a few different stories going on within the one book - high school drama and bullying, mafia, and student/teacher kink. I feel like there were parts of this book that were entertaining enough - the concept of the nerd writing erotica and the bad boy blackmailing her - that was fun. This series does not have to be read in order.įans of Havoc at Prescott High by C.M.I don’t know. Poison is a new-adult reverse harem romance and the second book in the Bad Boys of Redwood Academy series of stand-alones. Will I be able to keep these bad boys at bay? Or will they suck me into their bloodstained, havoc-filled world? If anyone finds out what I have done, my good-girl reputation will be tarnished. They have no problem with burning Redwood Academy to ashes, exposing the wealthy for the snakes they truly are, and blackmailing an innocent girl they met online. Poison is everything wrong with Redwood Academy. But getting messed up with the Poison boys isn't what I expect to happen when I log in to an online chat room. Now, he and his crew won't stop blackmailing me.īetween studying for exams, obeying strict curfews, and dealing with overprotective parents who expect me to reign at the top of Redwood Academy's senior class, I just want to have some fun. I thought talking to a sexy stranger online would be harmless-until I find out he goes to my high school.
